Factory Stuffing Permission

Under previous law of Excise there was need to taking permission from Excise officer for export of goods from Factory by Sealing of containers. Under GST Law permission of jurisdictional officer is required for factory stuffing or Export of cargo. However for doing ease of business by notification No. 07/2017 dated 14-08-2017 government given option of self Factory stuffing sealing permission for exporters. After taking this permission direct exporter of third party export can do self sealing of cargo , containers etc. For this exporter shall apply to Jurisdictional Suprintendent of Customs about giving permission at least 15 days before first planned export.

FAQ - Factory Stuffing Permission

Factory owner shall make application to Jurisdictional Superintendent of Customs.

Yes. Updated IEC Copy is required at time of submission of documents.

Custom officer may verify consignments to check tempering if any. Hence officer can still check consignments ever after self sealing.

In case of any deviation or lapse in following procedure , legal documentation by Manufacture then such permission can be withdrawn.

GSTR 1 and GST 3 B returns need to be submitted at time of application. Timely filing of GST Return give reliable picture of custom officer.

Permission given by Asst./Dy. Commissioner of Customs, FSP Cell, JNCH shall be valid on all Customs stations of India.

For Each location Manufacturer have to apply severally and get premises verification done by customs officer.

Any exporter shall inform at least 15 days before to FSP cell from first date of planned export.
